Revenge!!! and Donation!!!

Ummm...maybe the title sounds a bit wierd. But trust me, they are two different stories.

I got my RAM today! One Corsair stick of 512MB of PC3200 memory! I can multitask much better now. My WoWarcrack experience has improved at least by 5-10 FPS(frame per second)! Things are much smoother now. I can kill other players better now. Speaking of slaughtering other players! I got my sweet revenge tonight!

Warning! Nerdy content coming up!

Well about a week and a half ago, there was this Human Rogue who cheapshot me while I was sitting on a campsite in Stranglethorn Vale. I was reading some quest information on my browser at a different screen and didn't realize that I was being attacked. He then proceed to post a stupid post on the Blizzard forum on how he killed me blah blah blah.

Anyhow, my guildmates knew about this and this guy has been on our hitlist for a while. Tonight thanks to a couple of my guildmates' (Chotoro and Duniac) informative scouting. We've located where he's at. I quickly got out of whatever I was doing, teleported back to Orgrimmar and took a zeppelin to the the Eastern Kingdom. :)

I quickly rode my mount to the camp site near the river up north and once again I was at the same place I was cheapshot by this guy 2 weeks ago. He hasn't leveled much since then and I was about 10 levels above him now. Being a hunter, I quickly sent my trusty bear into combat mode and shot the life out of him literally. Then I proceed to spit on his corpse a few times and clap at it for taunting purpose. All of his alliance buddies decided to show up for a battle about 5 minutes later. Luckily, my character's level is higher than any of them. We held that camp down good for an hour or so and took many pesky Nightelves, Humans, Dwarves and some random Gnomes' lives.

OK now was that the nerdiest thing you have ever read? I think not!!! It's revenge baby! I'm down for busting a repeat and a three-peat on this fool next time I get some more scouting reports by guildmembers.

Anyways, onto the real world part of this post!

Donation! Go donate some money people to the Red Cross! Even though WoWarcrack has numbed me for the past weeks. I haven't even seen the sun for quite some time now. I do feel pretty bad for the people in the southern part of Asia that are affected by the recent disaster. Here I am sitting here in the comfort of my home playing some stupid pointless games and worry about how I can level up and make enough gold to buy myself cool weapons! There are hundreds of thousand of people suffering and dying on the other side of the world due to this horrific tsunami.

Chatting with Pete tonight, he told me that he's donated to the international relief being done over in Asia right now. I told him how I am sooo broke right now and how I can't afford to donate! But in all seriousness, I'm not like homeless or anything...or at least not yet! Hehe.

Anyhow, I don't think I've ever been this broke in my entire life so far. I just had to pay a big cellular phone bill too! And because I didn't work as much as I could have last quarter, so I didn't make that much money to spare. Maybe I don't have enough money for next month credit card bill?!! I was planning on getting a video card to enhance my WoWarcrack experience even more (maybe another 10+ FPS!!) But maybe I should save some of that money and donate! What'cha think? Well

I went ahead and decided not to get my video card and donate some money to Red Cross! It's not much but it's more than what I have. I had to use my credit card for this, maybe I rob banks and pay for it later! j/k j/k

Seriously, I've never donated anything before, I'm always afraid that the people who handle these fundings take all the money for themselves. So....Red Cross, you BETTER make very good use of my life-saving and help the people who are in need over in Asia! Or else I come and bust my sweet revenge on you too now that you know I can dish out some good paybacks!!! Ok...I'm a bit crazy....due to the lack of...ummm...sleep...But no...I'm serious, I will come and get you if you don't use my money wisely! :)

See ya! On a side note, maybe the people in the Middle East NEED to NOT kill each others anymore because Mother Nature is going to get us all sooner or later! What a crazy world! GLOBAL VILLAGE!! PEOPLE!!! GLOBAL VILLAGE!!!

Hello!

Hi there readers!

I feel that I need to write something sooner or later or I seriously will lose my precious 2-3 frequent visitors to this site. Hehe... Nothing much really happened since my last journal entry. I have done...ummm...errr....not much lately besides playing WoW all night and day, or actually more like night and late late night.

I finally gave in and order some extra RAM tonight (a stick of 512MB PC3200 Corsair). My computer is literally choking horribly when I have WoW, AIM, Yahoo, Winamp, Zonealarm, Norton AntiVirus, and Firefox running all at the same time! Actually, the fact that I only have about 89 Kilobytes of free physical memory during my normal "WoW Operation" has coerced me to order some more RAM! (Hey Roco, omgs lets not be VC trolls and post comments on outdated journal entries plz...maybes this post made it to the nerdiest award entry of the year).

Anyhow, time to get some sleep, maybe one of these days I will post more pictures in my gallery. I just don't feel like doing it lately because I don't think anyone really look at them.

Here is a couple self screenshots I took of last night while in Dustwallow's village with Brian, Francis, Darren, and Jeremy after our SM run. Enjoy!

Level 42! With new set of Mail armor and dual wield glowing swords (courtesy of Brian's enchanting)

That's me on my Kodo mount! So cool and fast now that I can ride a Kodo!

Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season! Thank you for visiting my website over the year and reading my randomness journal entries. I've enjoyed writing it as much as you have enjoyed reading it. It's one of my only sources for venting and ranting about life in general.

I spent an hour last night fixing up the header graphic above just as my gift to those of you that visit and comment on my journal regularly in the past months. I hope you enjoy the season greeting graphic.

This past year has been more or less hell to me, but I won't disagree that I have learned a lot recently. Moreover, this year has enlightened me on a multitude of things, e.g. life, relationships, and the how-to's when dealing with certain people. It has made me rethink about my goals and directions in life. I've changed quite a bit, and those of you that know me personally can attest that.

Finally, a painful yet rewarding year has come to an end. About 4 months ago, the only thing that I could wish for was the arrival of Christmas and then the new year, but in due time, they have both arrived, and yet I haven't realized it. Time does fly by quickly.

It's time to prepare for the next year, mentally and physically! Anyhow, at this moment, I can only sit here and hope that the up and coming years will be better than this. Not to be a pessimist, but I can only hope for the best, but at the same time, I will have to prepare for the worse.

Happy holidays and please be safe. I will see or talk to you soon! For sure!

My life will change in so many ways after this year, so all I have say at the moment is that: Let's take a path, do not look back at the intersections, and dedicate times and efforts to this particular path and indeed, we shall all see. No regrets.

Long Long Time

Wow!!! It has been a whole week since I last wrote something. Man...damn World of WarCRACK is taking over my life! Every free moment has been dedicated to leveling my character! Woohoo, level 36 already! 4 more until I get a mount...anyhow...let's try to come back to reality now Son.

Oh ya, thanks Pete for the greeting card with your family picture! I think my parents opened it, because it said 'Uncle Son' on the envelope! Hehe...I wonder what they thought it was. Great picture of my bestfriends though! Thanks! By the way, I'm going to be visiting some time this week, for sure!

David, I'm going to apologize now before you start blaming on me! Sorry that I've talked you into joining us on WoWarCRACK and sorry for ruining your entire life and career goal! Hahhahaahaha, you are so screwed just as the rest of us in ITC. But nonetheless, we will hopefully have a blast at screwing up our lives! For sure for sure! We shall go out in style!

Ok, where do I begin with last week...let's recap the entire week in a few paragraphs.

----------
I've received my grades for the past quarter. Guess what? I've got an 'A' on my first and only real graduate class! My final project/term-paper with my two groupmates earned us an 'A+'. The funny part out of all this is that I've found out that I've got an Incomplete for my dance class! I kicked major ass in that class too! That reminds me, I have got to email the dance instructor regarding the Incomplete. Maybe he doesn't like me due to the fact I did pimp most of the girls in that class, especially the cute ones!...j/k

----------
Last Wednesday, I attended Laureen's and Brian's senior project presentations for their Bachelor's degrees. Both of them were very cool projects. I know exactly how they felt after that night, it's a great feeling to be done! Anyhow, later on the night, Brian, Laureen, Francis, and I went out for dinner at Salo-Salo. It was my first time eating filipino food. The dinner was delicious! The food wasn't that much different from what I'm used to. Brian and Laureen think that just because I'm Vietnamese, I don't eat rice or something! Hahaha...the first question of the night coming out of Brian's mouth was "Do you eat rice Son?" I stared back back at him with the "WTF? I'm asian!" Anyway, remember! We are all going out to eat Pho (NOT Phu!!!) sometime this week! Laureen's driving us with her brand new SUV!

----------
Thursday...I really really have no idea what happened...so was the first half of Friday. I'm seriously sitting here pounding my head against my desk asking myself what I did on Thursday. Oh well, if I can't remember it, then it must not be important. Anyway, Friday night, In-n-Out, Darren....remember the whole girl basketball team?? That was so sweet!

----------
Oh yeah...I remember now...Thursday was the ITC Christmas gift exchange party thingie at work. I bought a $20 gift certificate to BestBuy and threw it in a random old shoebox I had. Jeremy randomly chose it out of a various of others, so yeah! Don't judge the gift by its cover! In return, I randomly chose one of the gifts from work, and it happened to be Jeremy's gift. It was a $15 gift certificate to In-n-Out. Anyhow, Jeremy, I actually got to use $5 out of the 15 on Friday night. It actually came in handy. Thanks man!

----------
Saturday, Darren came up to La Verne to Omar's place and the three of us left for San Bernadino to help Kim with some gardening work at her house. Omar, who just came back from TJ, Mexico the night before, was late due to the border hold up! So we didn't get to Kim's place until 5 PM. By then the sun was already down, so we ended up doing the gardening work in the dark! It was pretty funny. I had to mow the lawn, while Omar was trimming the bushes and Darren was helping Kim move some equipment and trashes in the garage. I was so afraid of leaving patches on the grass, it was pretty dark and for the life of me, I could not see exactly where I have or haven't mowed yet! Anyway, I was a bit relieved, as Kim called me earlier tonight and told me that everything seems to look okay. :)

----------
<-- My brother and I after the wedding. Sunday, my aunt got married today. She was the last out of my 5 aunts to get married on my mom's side. I'm happy for her. The wedding was pretty cool. I've got to eat the 9-10 courses dinner. Saw cousins that I haven't seen in a great while. I couldn't believe it, but they were playing Salsa and Cha Cha Cha music at the wedding, but too bad I didn't know that one my cousins could dance until after the whole thing is over. I did get to try Waltz and Foxtrot with Nora though. It was pretty cool, even though I think the Vietnamese music that they were playing wasn't meant for what I was dancing. But like ALWAYS, I could careless.

Time flies by so quickly. I spoke to a few of my cousins. And seriously, I could not believe Cindy is a Junior in high school and the Diana is in college now. I can still remember the time when they were just barely in Elementary school! Davy, my cousin (half-Vietnamese and half-whatever-the-heck-he-is-but-possibly-white) just got married recently, and he's the same age as me! Man...I'm not getting married until I'm like 30! Nora, Davy's little sister is attending medical school next year. Everyone is growing up so FAST! That means I'm growing OLDER even quicker! It's kinda amazing and mind-boggling to think about these kind of things.

The table where I was sitting. A few of the many cousins I have on my mom's side. I will post more pictures later on to my gallery.

----------
Anyhow, that IS IT for the week and for this super-duper long entry, time to catch up on some sleep and prepare to make the decision of a life time this coming week. UCI or USC, be broke or be seriously in debt, Asians or mixed?

Gambling? Games?

This quarter is finally over! Time to play WoW 24/7! Actually I've played WoW less than while I was still in school...kinda funny.

I went out with a few of my old high school friends last night. We had dinners at Fukuya Sushi in La Verne and it was quite good...a bit pricy for the portions they serve though.

CLICK BELOW TO READ MORE!

Then Kim decided it was an excellent idea to persuade Son to go gamble with Omar and Pablo at the Hawaiian Garden Casino!! Thanks KIM! Hahah I actually gave in after 5 minutes of persuasion!!! I was going to go home and level my character for the upcoming raids too...

Well anyhow, I went gambling at a "card club"/casino down in lakewood with Pablo and Omar. That place was cleaner than what I've expected. Nonetheless, there are so many wierd people there...a lot of asians...mainly Vietnamese...

There are some really wierd, old, and hardcore gamblers there. I feel so out of place. But anyhow, Omar, agained persuaded me to actually sit down at a Texas Hold'em table. He let me borrow 20 bucks! Hahaha I had 10 on me but I didn't want to use it all. So I only put down 20 to play with. There wasn't a buy-in or anything, one can stand up and sit down and start playing anytime. It was quite different from what I am used to.

Anyways, my stack of 20 chips slowly decreased as the hours went by. Suddenly, there was a change in the dealer, and this time around, noticeably, I have gotten much better hands. After a few rounds of good hands (four of a kinds, straights, and full houses), I've bounced back up and double up my starting $20. My stack peaked at around 45 bucks at most. Anyways, to make the story short, I stopped myself when I started losing again and came down to $30. I stood up and walked away with an extra $10 and I was happy man. I just got my dinner paid for earlier!!! So sweet!

I had fun...it was an interesting experience, but I really doubt that I will go there again. I don't think I can ever be addicted to gambling like some people. Moreover, we all did ok coming out of it. After the gambling, Pablo took us to where he works and we played Halo on the computers for the next 2 hours. It was great fun teaming up 2 versus 1 against Omar in the last hour!

And that's that for my night. Didn't get to play WoW until like 4 in the morning!

Darren, tell Denise that I said thanks for showing up on WoW on time at exactly 8:23 and 56th of a second! Sucker!...I mean...err...that's great! :)

I'm drunk!!!

OK!! Just kidding! You and I both know that that isn't going to happen, not unless I either became rich and wealthy overnight, or just won the Super Lottery Jackpot.

But here is a cool picture of me in game drinking 5 beer mugs, one right after another, courtesy of Jeremy aka Theweez. Thanks for taking the screenshot too dude. Next time give me the hardcore liquor ones that will make my screen all blurry!

Chugging away 5 mugs! I'm so hardcore and a nerd!

It's 4 AM and I'm still up messing around with a prototype website for my HCI class. But anyhow, as I was sipping my water away, I accidently spilled a few waterdrops on my desk. One of the drops came out in a very neat design, so I figured that since I just recently bought my cool SD200 camera, let's make some good use out of it! I snapped away and came out with some cool pictures of the waterdrop. Check it out!

Cool looking waterdrop, don't ya think? Seriously,
I didn't tamper with it at all.

Oh yeah, I visited my bestfriends again this past weekend. Jessie and Sydney are doing great. Thanks Pete and Jane for having me over again. I enjoyed the dinner, it was very delicious...ummmmmmm ...shrimps ...tofu ....good stuff. Too bad that I had to leave early to the dance performance to see someone. Nonetheless, I'm getting some good practice working with kids so I can become a good dad someday...except for the diaper changing part though...not sure how well I can handle that.

ALIVE!

But barely...yes I'm still alive! Is that good or bad? I'm not sure yet but I hope it is good. I survived my dance final. I only took it like 4 times...that's all! Due to the girls to guys ratio of course...I also just finished writing up a page critique on the dance performances by the graduate dance choreography at UCI that I went to on Thursday and Friday night. It was pretty interesting and somewhat thought provoking. Pictures will be up later soon enough whenever I'm free.

They were very good and pretty!

Anyhow, I kick major ass on my dance final...it was also great that all of my randomly chosen partners were pretty good at following, so I had no problem whatsoever. It still hasn't hit me as hard as I expected that this greatest class ever is now over. :( I guess by this Friday, hopefully I will be in a better position when this realization hits me.

World of Warcraft Update: As a clan, GoG Feds went on a raid last night in Ashenvale near the elves' city. We had about 30-40 people training all the way to the gate of the city east of Ashenvale. It was great fun as both sides were tuggle-warring each other with attacks and counter-attacks. As soon as the alarm went off on the Alliance side, they counter-attacked us with an army of their own. Everyone was there, Brian, Jeremy, Cedric, Francis (who died the most because he is so low in level), and Darren. My brother and all of his friends and most of the clanmembers were there also. We stomped and slaughtered countless amount of elves, humans, dwarves and little gnomes.

That's me wearing the new Tabard we got. Batman!

All of us slaughtering some alliances!

For the HORDE!

Regrouping for the next wave of attack.

Training to the gate where there are powerful sentinels await for us. See a lot of the words "GoG Federation" on the screenshots? :)

For more pictures CLICK HERE TO VISIT DARREN'S XANGA...

Moreover, I recently bought a camera, the SD200. What a great little camera this is. With the new DiGiC II chip, the camera is so fast. Booting up and snapping the first shot takes about 1.4 second, which is pretty darn fast! The SD200 is so small too, it is a bit bigger than my cellular phone, which is so small as it is. Now that I have my own little snappy camera, I will be taking more pictures of random things and upload it to my gallery. So keep on visiting! :)

Denise
: Hey if you ever read this, see you on WoW this Friday at 8:23PM. Remember not to be late! Or else you will make me very disappointed! And as much as I hate to do this but I will have to pimp Darren out to some other girl... ;)

Judgement Day has come!

Ok...after today, I will probably have nothing else to look forward to...nor live for!!!! :( The roller coaster will drop even lower!

I will write more later with some pictures I took with my new camera I bought recently. I've got to go to bed now...it's getting late and I was seriously hallucinating today driving back from school on the freeway, I started seeing things in front of me that aren't there. I had to drive around 60 MPH just because I keep seeing things in front of me...it was a bit scary. I think my body went through some automatic mechanism of shutting down due to the tiredness and sadness I have lately.
