Umm..I can't think of a title

"Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving" -Albert Einstein

Thanks Darren for the quote. I appreciate it. Over time, I've learned to appreciate every little thing no matter how little or minute one might perceive it to be. Because sometimes, that's all I can get in life.

And Norm, what if you pop a tire? Well like I told you on AIM, then you'll just have to walk or crawl if that's what it takes! Contemplation is good but sometimes, contemplation will only lead you in the reverse direction.

On a more light hearted note, yes my post can be neutral too, and not that depressing, you know. Thanks Francis for the "discount" at the Apple store earlier today. Saved me 2 bucks on the LCD cleaning product for my laptop. And I'm sure Kim appreciated the 50+ dollars discount on her iPod mini too. That was a pretty sweet deal. Sorry I almost got you fired in front of that b*tch, who I assume is the manager. God damn, let's try to have some social and customer service skills please, and maybe pretend to care about your customers by laughing at their jokes a bit even if they're corny! And Brian, since you have lost some major friend points for not being there at the store when I got there. You need to restore these points by stealing...I mean borrowing...some of those cool Apple bags (the backpack looking one) for me!

And how come whenever I'm trying so hard to make things work in life, they tend to never work out. Maybe one of these days, I will stop trying so hard for once, maybe then, things will miraculously work out on their own somehow...bad logic? Maybe not......and nice guys do always finish last...I guess some times, I do find that being a nice guy is my worse weakness ever...and I'm sure many of my friends would agree with me on this one...I swear...the next person who effs with my mind, shall taste my wrath!

Cookie

Here is a nice quote from a fortune cookie that I saved from a while back. I'm not sure if I've quoted it on my blog yet but here it is anyways!

You happiness is intertwined with your outlook on life.

I like this quote because it is so true, especially for deep thinking and logical people like me. :)

Today was one of those days that I went on my little monthly eating binge just to catch up on all those missing meals from the past busy weeks. I indulged so much food over at Kim's BBQ and enjoyed the icecream cake a little bit too much(!) at her little niece's birthday party. Anyways, I spent the rest of the afternoon playing Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 2005 with Francis, Kent, Lucky and Vien. For the most part, it was just completely comical and amusing! We did pretty well for being total beginners at this game. The physics of the game is somewhat realistic and true to life (Yes I'm a nerd...) There is quite a variety of ways to hit a shot that makes it for an interesting game to play. And the control is not so bad, it's pretty responsive.

Beach

For the most part today, I spent it on the beach. Even though not everything went through as planned or as expected, but I did enjoy it, and I'm not regretting anything that I've done. I haven't been to the beach for the longest time. It was nice just to sit on the velvety sand and indulge the wonderful scent of the sea. The gentle clashing waves are always so mystical to me. Spending the day with someone special is always nice no matter where we're at, what happened or didn't happen.

As for earlier today, I want to extend my congratulation to Cedric for receiving his MBA. Sorry, I couldn't make it to your graduation. I'm coming by to visit you soon maybe some times later on this week! Ok, time to get some sleep. Nighty night!

3D

Dunno why I want to post this, but I just do. A 3D model I made a while back. It's a back view of a prototype I'm was messing around with.

Thinking = worse thing ever to do!

Pictures Galore!

I had some free time earlier today after my nap after a really early morning class to upload the set of pictures that was taken over the last weekend up north at my brother's graduation.

I also added the new Flickr's badge feeder on the right bar --------------->

It automatically randomly selects and displays a series of latest uploaded pictures from my Flickr account. You can click on any of the little dynamic thumbnails to see their fullsize versions. Enjoy!

Birthdays!

Oh quick post just to say Happy Birthday to Lily and Norm (actually belated birthday greeting though).

Hope this new birth year will bring you lots of joy! and sheeps for Norm... Oh and I thought it was too funny when you and Hong "jumped" into the swimming pool fully clothed! I would so jump in too...if I didn't have to wake up the next day at 4AM! I miss swimming!

Google Fusion

I came upon this earlier today and I thought it is pretty cool. Google is working on a new little portal thingie known as "Fusion" to the development team. You can find it at...

http://www.google.com/ig

I think it will only work if you have a gmail account, so if you need one, let me know, I'll send you an invitation! I have 49 invites left!

I'm now setting that URL as my default homepage on my Firefox browser. Actually, if you are not using Firefox as your default browser, maybe you should start doing so! It's for the better! Trust me!

Firefox Browser:
Best browser!

Flash Plugin for Firefox to see everything on this site:
Flash Plugin!

Install Firefox first and then install the Flash plugin and you're pretty much set to go. Well unless you want to install more plugins and addons, I think the basic is good enough. I recommend using Firefox just because it's faster, slicker, and more secured than the typical Internet Explorer! And also...if you use it, by association, you can consider yourself to be cool too because I use it! Hehe.

Well this post isn't exactly about the madness that went on in the past few days but it will do for now, because I'm so busy with schoolwork! I promise to blog about it later on this week or whenever I find some more free time. Also I'll upload all the pictures to my Flickr account soon too!

Here are two more pictures to preview for what to come in the rest of the set of pictures.

Brief Post

The last few days have been a blur! But anyhow, after I recover from my sleep deprivation and what not, I will blog more about what went on the last few days. I have ton of pictures to upload too, so check back later.

Oh and congratulation to my brother ( Moogog) and his roomie, Donut, and the guild druid, Dionye, for being Berkeley's graduating class of 2005. Man, I would still be up north party hardy with everyone if I were done with school right now! (Why did I use their aliases instead of their real names?!!! Hehe)

BTW, if your name happens to be Norm, Lily, Francis, or David, and you saw me in the past 48 hours, please send me a copy of the pictures you took from your camera to phuson@gmail.com! Thanks!

Hi...Bye

(nt)

CLICK HERE AND SCROLL DOWN A BIT AND READ EREZ'S POST. OR DO A SEARCH FOR " Son"

Anyways, late tonight, I did something that I haven't done in almost a year now. I remember telling myself never to do it again what I did when I was up north visiting Devin and clearing my mind from the craziness we all call life. It's nothing big at all, and you probably don't know what it is, but yeah...whatever...and no rated-R thoughts please! It's nothing like that!

P.S. If anyone of you who knows me, and happens to be reading this before 7 AM on 5/20/2005. Can you please give me a call on my cellphone! I need a wake up call! :(

Busy days ahead...

I received a voicemail around 8AM this morning. It was too funny, because I had no idea who it was and what the heck this person was saying! I listened to it over and over again and kept laughing at it because it was so incoherently distorted! It turned out to be Francis, who's informing me about E3! Dude, you need to stop smoking so early in the morning! It was funny though... So I think hopefully if everything turns out to be okay, I'll be going to E3 this Friday! E3!!! Yeah the last time I was there was about 3-4 years ago.

Class was rough, especially when I only had 5 hours of sleep the night before. I've been talking for the past couple of nights to the girl I mentioned a couple of times before on my journal. She's adorable and a very sweet girl. :) Busy weekend ahead! Time for sleep! Night!

Anyhow, GoG's still the best at PVP, hands down!

No time for new post! I'll find some free time toward the end of this week to write something on here! In the meantime, sleep!

So busy!

The past couple of days have been so busy! On Friday, I spent almost the entire day hanging with the ITC Crew for Parnoto's farewell party. He's heading back to Indonesia to help his dad runs the company. Remember to invite us to your wedding soon! Anyhow, I'll be visiting you soon enough, one of these days, on my Asiatrip!

I got to play with Jessie and little Sydney for the most part of the day too. Jessie wore me out! It was fun though! Lunch at PF Chang's was pretty interesting, it has been quite a long time since we all have been hanging out together at the same place. It's just like the good ole time. What a great group of people we had...I doubt that I'll ever find a better group of colleagues than you guys. :( Thanks for picking up the tab after lunch, Parnoto, and good luck buddy! I'll come by your place some time this week to visit you again before you leave. Friday night was also my grandma's anniversary/remembrance, so I had to leave the party a bit early and didn't get a chance to go out with some of you guys for dinner. Anyhow, I had dinner at home with my parents and uncle. I can't believe that it has been a year already since my grandma passed away...time flies! People come and go, which reminds me that I should always make the best out of the time I have with the people that are still in my life.

It's me trying to look cool with a tree growing out on top of my head!

Pete, me, and Francis!

Cedric, Parnoto, Jeremy, and David

Eve, me, and Francis! Waiting for lunch!

Thanks Pete for uploading the pictures to your Flickr account, now I can never catch up at this rate! I'll upload the rest of the pictures from my camera and Eve's camera as soon as I find some time!

TO SEE THE REST OF THE PICTURES AT PFCHANG'S, CLICK ON THIS LINE OF TEXT!

Saturday, I went to Starbucks to study with Kim. Later, we were joined by Angelic, Becca and Matt. I "tried" to read the materials that I have to research for one of my classes and I nearly went insane just trying to comprehend its nonsensical content! Arrg! Later in the afternoon, I started driving south toward the Irvine area.

It was Magma aka John's birthday party. My guild decided to have a get-together/drinking party at one of the on-campus apartment complexes in UCI. Most of these guys are my brother's high school friends, it's good to see them again in person since high school. I've played tennis in high school with most of them too. Warbrand finally attends one of the GoG Meetings! No AFK this time! I'll post some pictures whenever I get them from either Erez or whoever were snapping pictures at the party. It was such a nerdy drinking party! All we were discussing about were references to WoW for the majority of the night! Good time nonetheless. Afterward, I figured that I'm down here in Irvine, so I might as well drop by Derek's apartment with Darren. The girls were over there bugging Dexter, so they needed some crowd control...and who's better at controlling a crowd than Son?! j/k. It's nice to see most of you again nevertheless.

I can't believe in the past two days, I've seen more people than I have seen in the past year! Time to get back on track though, it's the 7th week of school already and I have about a few more weeks left to grind. So stress I am...

Luckily for me, that I have my laptop here, I'm currently connected to one of the unsecured networks in my neighborhood. Apparently my DSL connection went kaboom! So I'm connected wirelessly through my neighbor's Adelphia Cable right now to type up this blog. Anyhow, time for some sleep. For some reason, my nose is bleeding and my head is spinning! I suppose that's not very good...hehe...Nitey night!

Deeprun Tram!

My first time at Deeprun Tram tonight with the rest of the guildies! Seaworld! We own that place for a while! Stupid alliance and their inventions! Why do us Horde have such crappy towns...especially with Ogrimmar's two entrances that can be breached at any time! Here is one of the screenshots I took during the raid.

Waiting for the tram ride to arrive. Killed many alliances while waiting! :)

Choose "Spanish" from the drop down box and wait for it to load up. Then click the little PLAY button! Enjoy! :)

SALSSSSA!!! I don't think anybody would recognize the name of the singer...he's pretty famous. He's one of my favorite latin singers. His stylized spanish ballad singing is so cool! If you can guess it right! Dinner's on me!

Quickie!

Hehe not that kind of quickie! Anyhow, I have to make this quick because I should get some sleep soon! Or else I'd be tired and sleepy at rehearsal later today and a particular someone would not like that!

Anyway, I had a long day...a lot of driving, home -> Irvine -> Fontana -> Rancho Cucamonga -> La Verne -> home! Class as usual early in the morning every Wednesday. After class, I had a meeting with my group for one of my classes, turned out that I have to read like a gazillion research and technical papers by next week! Great! There goes my plan for partying this weekend.

After that, I was looking at houses for my mom up in Fontana and RC...no...we're not moving! It's so amazing to see the number of houses popping up there! It's no wonder why the traffic is so BAD in Southern California! Anyhow, she just like to buy more houses that's all! Actually I don't really know why but it's nice to help her with errands every now and then even if I'm up to my neck with work.

Later, I dropped by my alma mater to attend Francis' senior project presentation. I got there a bit late, actually pretty late, it was basically over right when I arrived! Sorry dude! Hey now! You and Brian missed my senior project presentation last year too! It's good to be back in La Verne after a long while. It's just so nice being there and not having to stress out about homework, projects, etc. It was just barely a year ago that I presented my senior project! Time flies by so fast! After Francis' presentation, the three of us left for dinner! L&L Hawaiian BBQ, the greatest (at giving me a heartattack that is...)! :)

Got there just in time! For the last slide of the presentation! :)

On to something else! Check out this little movie clip. It's the greatest! Thanks Roco for hitting me up with the link! Even after watching it for the 3rd time in the same night, I'm still banging my head against my desk laughing.

...LEERROOOOYYYYY....ahahaahahah, well I guess only those of you that belong to the GoG Federation would understand the movie better. Even if you're not, you can still see a bit of what I do when I'm not doing homework, out with friends, etc...

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD OR VIEW THE MOVIE CLIP

Listen to the conversation in the movie...especially in the beginning...they were so serious planning things out...and then Leroy came back from being AFK and ran in and got everyone wiped! It's just so funny! 32.33 repeating of course percentage of survival...Hahaha...and Paladin does not need the Devout Shoulder to heal better...so funny! Ok...I'm wierd...to those of you that don't know what I'm talking about...

Life = Circus!

Animal Circus! Someone used to give me this once...long time ago

I think life is just effed up sometime...I've received some crap news today. Oh well, something is just meant to be and something isn't. And lately, it's more of the latter...

Anyways, I remember someone once told me that you know someone likes you if that person shows that she cares about you...and the opposite is quite true...this statement I concur.

EDIT: BTW, ITC, eVite, this Friday noon...instead of voting for the time, choose a restaurant now or we let the Prince chooses...

Hiya!

We went out to dinner earlier tonight for Mother's Day down in the Westminster area. The place we were at were so crowded. Anyhow, here's a picture of my mom and dad there. Too bad my brother wasn't there to enjoy the dinner, but we will see him soon in 2 weeks. Norcal!

Mom and Dad

Anyways, I've got to get back to some homework and research. It has been a busy weekend thus far. More busy weekends to come...

I'll just leave you here with my quote of the day!

You have to live for today and not for what was or could've been.

Now just think about it! And go do what you've always wanted to do!

And btw, thanks to Donut for the surreptitious sniping job earlier tonight! Maybe Shamrock is proud of you! ^_^

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Woke up around noon after 5 hours of sleep...it was more like a nap to me! I went down to Oceanside with Elizabeth and Martin to watch our dance coach perform at the Mira Costa community college there. I've never heard of this school before, but apparently, it is a pretty darn fancy and nice community college. Anyways, the whole dance performance thingie was really cool. I enjoyed it! The salsa part was just too hot! Makes me want to start strutting some of my secret salsa moves! Thanks to Elizabeth for driving us back and forth from Irvine to Oceanside and back. I had a good nap on the way back...hehe. 5 + 1 (nap) = 6 hours of sleep! Sweet!

Thanks to my trusty "insider trading" info, I found out that my mom wanted orchids this year for Mother's Day. So for the most part of this afternoon, I spent driving from city to city shopping for orchids. And since I didn't get back to Chino Hills until 5PM, all of the flowers shops were closed by that time. Pete gave me this great idea of checking out Home Depot, Armstrong, or Lowes for orchids. After stopping by 3 different Home Depots and searching for the nearest Armstrong, I almost gave up! But it was almost 8PM that I found a Lowes nearby in Rancho Cucamonga. I made a quick stop and found some very nice orchids there! I then sped to the closest grocery store for a "Happy Mother's Day" greeting card and balloon. Opened the card and wrote "From Son & Ha". Delivered it to her shop before 8PM! Made it just in time! All that speeding on the local streets did not go in vain! :)

Since I was already in the RC area, I figured that I should pay Pete and his family a visit. It's been a long time since I've been by. Even though I got there pretty late, Jessie and Sydney were still up! Thanks for keeping them up for me! I know it was past their bedtimes. Sydney grew a bit and she's even more adorable now than ever. Jessie is still the same, she likes to talk talk talk! :) And kick kick kick the pink penguin I bought for her bday.

Jane told me how Sydney looks so Japanese with her fair skin. She cried and wanted her mommy when I was holding her for too long. Jessie naturally smiled for her Uncle Son on the bottom right picture. :)

What happened?

I had the most wonderful dream last night about someone...no name! Anyhow I'll save the details for myself!

Went out with the usual UCI friends for dinner earlier tonight at our usual place but this time, at the Irvine Spectrum instead. I had my usual Fish and Chips, so crispily delicious! Afterward, we chilled at Derek's apartment again just BSing and joking around like usual. Darren, Hong and I were going to go Salsa'ing with the girls but since it was a bit late when we got back, and the food coma kicked in, we ended up bailing out. Darren thinks that they are so pissed at us for not making it. Hehe it's alright, next time Son will go! After all I didn't want to go and show off my moves and all...then none of the guys there will hit on you girls! Please, Son didn't want to escalate the level of competition and intimidation there...that's all...hahaha...errr..yeah! Oh, and you know what! I'm still trying to figure out who I was on the phone with earlier! I could've sworn it was Jamie, who'd have thought Sharon (quiet and usually very reserved) would be so talkative over the phone! Wierd night I tell you...Derek and Dexter, you party poopers! j/k /jk :)

Anyways, didn't leave until around 2 AM. It was hilarious that I was on the phone with Darren on the way back and suddenly Devin from NorCal called. So I three-way'ed the 3 of us. Hahaha, 2 dead-tired guys + 1 drunk mofo = one very "interesting" conversation.

Got home, got a message on my AIM from Roco (aka traitor! :) )...PVP!!! TM!! GoGs!! Logged on but then everybody seemed to be so out of it or left for bed already! Then Kim called me at 3 in the freaking morning to tell me that she's just driving back from drinking in Hollywood...please let's not call Son after all the partying was done and over with! OK? thanks!

Ok really I need to get some sleep...so exhausted! I took some random pictures of the beautiful cloudy sky today. I'll upload them to my Flickr account later!

The glorious clouds!!!

Why is Son so cheery more than usual you ask? It's because I so just winged a presentation yesterday on a research project! I had such short time to prepare for it but I managed though! It was supposed to be 15 minutes long but I took almost an hour! :) I'm glad my professor liked the project I chose. He later thanked me for taking up a huge chunk of the class session, because he was overly stressed out this past week working on a big proposal for the National Science Foundation (more grants for PhD students). So it was cool.

This past Thursday was Pete's last day at ITC. His two weeks notice was up. Too bad I couldn't be there! Even though I don't work there anymore, there still is a couple of cool people left there that I know. Anyways, good luck at your new job Pete, and ummm...visit the "forum" :). Since he's going to be home this next week...I think I will make some time to visit my two most favorite little girls.

Lightning!

My house just shook pretty hard and half a second later, due to the speed of sound, I hear this great chain of thunders shattering in midsky. It's pretty cool if you ask me. Living on a hill, I hope that we don't get hit first! Wow! I just saw a huge flash outside, about 4 seconds later, my house started to shake again augmented by a thunderous boom!!! I should take my camera outside and capture this...hehe, I might not come back alive...okay nevermind...it's raining like mad outside now! Time to park my car outside for my weekly carwash!

Thanks David for leaving me this link on my AIM, it's a little cool but pointless game in Flash. Check it out!

FOR THE GAME CLICK HERE!!!

And check this out, for my second try, I hit so many bonuses and the little guy kept on rolling and bouncing for almost 2 minutes or so. Check out my score! Now you try to beat that! Post your score!

Second try: 1594.18m!!!

Happy Cinco de Mayo, and especially my friends that were celebrating it and sorry I couldn't make it back in the area for dinner! I hope you guys had fun.

I've just realized a couple of days ago, that Mother's Day is this coming Sunday. Time to get my mom something! Ideas are welcomed!

Anyhow, going to grab something to eat and then I'll probably head to bed.

P.S. I've been quite busy lately with school and not have much time to keep in touch with everyone...I'll just leave a message 'bout it on my website, instead of contacting each one of you one by one! Ok here goes, David, Brian, Francis, Laureen, Jeremy, Pete and even Cedric...contact me! It's about next Friday or Saturday, let me know which of those two days you prefer, lunch (yes I'll wake up in time for it) or dinner. Parnoto is leaving on the 22nd and I won't be around town that weekend! So let me know asap...I'm thinking Saturday because then everyone should have that day off...

My current ranking 2 days ago. Warbrand's been so slacking off lately!

And if you have some more free time! Download this movie clip (180 Mb), and watch the part at 2:25 - 3:00. Thanks Biohazard for the link on the forum. Check out for my name and the rest of the GoG Crew (with the 'GoG Federation' tag)!

RIGHT CLICK HERE AND SAVE AS...

The movie was taken by other guild, so it's also hosted on someone else site, let me know if you have problems viewing it.

Icon!

I drew this little guy pixel by pixel about a year ago...I never got around to animating him...life has been too crazy since then...especially now.

He has to resort to just being my AIM buddy icon for now! What's cool about this little guy is that I drew him in Photoshop, and used complicated layer settings so that I can change his clothings to any color I want without damaging the shading on him.

I just had one of the longest days ever. Things that could go wrong went wrong...Anyhow I met up with Darren and Yoichiro today for lunch at South Coast Plaza. Yo was telling me about this upcoming ninja competition in Japan since he knows that I wanted to attend ninja school for the longest time (if that exists  )! Apparently the competition is for women only...too bad! Hehe...After that I spent the rest of the day "fixing" broken "things".

I'm officially stressed out! Time for bed, long days ahead...

And if your name is Parnoto and you are reading this, give me a call before you leave the country for good! I might go with you! To Malaysia!

Handy Son!

My sprinklers masterpiece!

Yup! The picture above said it all for the most part of my day. I spent a few hours on fixing and replacing a good part of my parents' house sprinkler system. When my parents first bought the house, it was brand new, so we had to hire some contractors to landscape our entire backyard. And for some reason, they bailed out on us half way through, I forgot why (it was such a long time ago though). And since it was half way done, we figured that we might as well save some money and finish the work ourselves. And since almost everything that needs fixing at home, Son's there, so therefore, the sprinkler system too was appointed to Son. To make the story short, basically, since I finished the installation of the sprinkler system, I was in charge of EVERYTHING that has to do with it! And lately, I've been so busy with life, school, and random activities, I've not had the chance to fix some new and old leakages and breakages. Today, I've finally found some time to go through all of the sprinklers' heads and almost the entire system to fix every broken little thing. All I've got to say is that, I was soaked, muddy and tired after I was through with it.

Inka's Trails!

Moreover, later on in the day, Kim invited me to join her and Omar at our little favorite Peruvian's restaurant, "Inka's Trails". Thanks for the dinner Omar!

After we got back from dinner, I followed Kim and Angelic to a country club (as in country music dancing club, and not rich people golf country club! Yes, that's what I get for having white friends, I'd rather go Salsa'ing!) It was so fun and funny though. I've never seen such things as the cha cha and waltz being done with country music before. Nonetheless, it's refreshing and quite a learning experience. Toward the end, the DJ played some East coast swing and freestyle hip hop music. So it was all good. My friends and I always joke about how line dancing is just so mindless and easy, because anyone can do it. And how quickly and uniformly white people can get organized is just simply amazing ;). Should've brought my camera inside the club for some great pictures! Too bad! Why am I blogging, I should be doing my homework! Hehe.

One of the many roses in my dad's little garden!

Well, the night out dancing was a great break from the stress we call life...but I still come back home to my confused state...you see, there's this girl I've gotten to like, despite the short period of time I've known her. It must be her smile, and her down-to-earth personality, whenever I'm around her I just want to smile too :). Yet, despite my attempts, I'm left confused and clueless about what she thinks of me.

What's part of my name doing on the painting!

As always, click on one of the pictures above to be taken directly to my Flickr account. I've uploaded a bunch of pictures I've taken in the past few days. Nitey nite!
