Disneyland!

Yup! This past Sunday, I spent the entire day with Allison, her family (mom, siblings, aunt, and uncle), and Darren at "The Happiest Place on Earth," Disneyland. I had lots of fun. I'm not so much of a theme-park person, but I must say, I did enjoy it very much. Out of all the time I've been to Disneyland, this is the only time that I can say that I have gotten the most out of it! I did so much throughout the day, went on almost all of the cool and exciting roller-coasters/rides, and ended the day with Allison by enjoying the impressive and elevated fireworks show on Main Street.

Poor Allison wasn't feeling very well, so she sat out for most of the rides throughout the day. She did went with me on Autopia (my passenger! ) and a few other little rides, which were fun! Sorry I didn't catch the ballerina dolls on "it's a small world" ride...

One interesting thing that has never happened to me before was one of the rides that we went on suddenly stopped working while we were on board. Splash Mountain, we specifically reserved Fastpass for this ride since morning, and when it came time for us to use it. We bypassed at least 500+ people in this humongous 75+ minutes estimated line to be almost at the front of the line for the ride. It was the last ride of the night that we were supposed to be on...anyhow, suddenly out of nowhere, after completing most of its routine course and right before the climax, pinnacle, ultimate last drop, the ride completely shut itself down. After sitting in the log for 10+ minutes at the bottom of the incline platform of that last big drop waiting to find out what was going on, Disneyland's technicians had to come and carefully removed us one by one and escorted us out of the ride and back into the theme-park. I guess it wasn't too bad since we didn't have to wait in line that long for the ride. Some of the hundred of people in line that we bypassed, who could've been waiting for at least an hour already and having to hear that the ride they waited so long for to go on has been entirely shut down, I can only imagine how upset they must feel. I also feel sorry for the people who were on the log ahead of us, they were right at the top of the big drop...a slight breeze of wind could have tipped the log overboard and run them into the water down below. Oh well, after safely being removed from the ride, we did managed to get on Thunder Mountain for the second time of the day just to satisfy our adrenaline craving that we expected from the disappointing and nonexistent Splash Mountain's last drop...

You can check out all of the pictures that were taken with my camera on our little trip to Disneyland on my Flickr account. If you look carefully, you will see the couple of pictures we took while being stuck on Splash Mountain. Thanks to Darren for being the photographer of the day again and snapping most of those pictures. And Allison for taking time out of her homework to help me title those pictures.

Oh and by the way, Allison and Darren, if you two have something to add, please do! I'm sure I didn't fully cover everything that went on that day within these few paragraphs!

Disneyland was lots of fun, even though I didn't do all that much. On the few rides I did go on... yes it was absolutely terrifying being your passenger on Autopia. Hehe I'm kidding, that was fun.

I'm glad you and Darren had fun, and the rest of my family had a great time too. My brother now thinks that you two are the coolest, most hilarious people ever!

The fireworks and the rose that you got me were the perfect ending to a good day. Hehe I still can't help but grin every time i look at the rose! I love you!!

sounds like you guys had a fun time! that's cool. Sorry to hear about "Buttonnose" not feeling well -- maybe you can guys go back again later.

Regarding your Splash Mtn ride: that must've been interesting. Of course, it's gotta suck -- right b4 the climax, the ride shuts down?? man, at least nobody was hurt.

Did Darren hit on Minny in front of Micky?

sorry, I haven't been able to blog or in a while... I've been so busy and tired from carrying those donuts around the happiest place on earth all day long! who knew donuts could be so heavy? To those who ate some some pastries from my backpack, many thanks for your help! hehehe

I had tons of fun taking those pictures and hanging out with Son and Allison with her family. This is by far, my favorite trip to Disneyland...maybe someday I'll complete my final mission there: to descend splash mountain.

Thanks inviting me to join you guys at Disneyland!
