Wedding Crashers

You're right Jeremy, that movie was pretty good, hilarious but at the same time, kind of meaningful and had somewhat of a storyline behind it.

Taking advantage of the fact that most of us are still around in Irvine for the time being, we all got together this past Friday night to see Wedding Crashers at one of the local movie theaters. Despite the few MIA's, the usual crew reported to duty...Norm, Matthew (Norm's roomie), Darren, Hong, Dexter, Lily, Jesse, and last but not least, Allison.

This is the first time I've been back in the theatre to watch a movie in such a long time. And as for me and Allison, this is our first time out to see a movie since we've been together, even if it was with my friends. We all definitely enjoyed the movie and ourselves. We were all out of it by the time the movie was over around 1 AM.

Too bad it was one of the last few times that we will be seeing each others for a long long time. Well...not that long I hope...

Anyhow, Allison and I stopped by Derek's place earlier tonight. Darren was cooking up some spaghetti for all of us...all in part of Norm's "going away party." It has prolonged from one night of partying into an entire two weeks instead. It's all good though, because, I think out of everyone I know in Irvine that is leaving, Norm will most likely be the one that we probably won't ever see again...unless the notorious Mongolian sheeps are willing to release him back into society in the future.

After dinner, we sat around and watched some TV (Korean soap opera! Yes! What the heck we were on...) and then played some CS until 2 AM in the morning. Thanks Allison for being such a sweetie and a good girlfriend :) for not nagging me to leave or whatever...hehe...I know you enjoyed watching my secretly joining the dark side aka terrorist to mess with the guys. It took Derek, Dexter, and Darren a few good rounds to realize that Bourne has completely betrayed and turned evil to gain some extra kills on the scoreboard! :lol:

Son has turned evil!!!

Looks like you are about to pocket Norm's iPod for good!

So busy lately!

Yes yes, I have been so busy lately especially with a certain someone...no name... Allison! Hehe...you are now a link everywhere your name goes automatically! Try clicking on it. :wink:

Well...that and the major project for my class of which I should be doing right now instead of blogging! Well and the previous post by Allison had so many comments more than any of my posts in the last 2 months! So sad so sad! I'm so jealous!!! :smile:

The other night after I got home, I noticed that the rubber hose that connects from the radiator and leads the coolant into the engine bursted. So I had to get that replaced earlier today. I spent 2+ hours driving (and stopping in order to keep the car from overheating without the coolant intake) when it would have only taken me 15 minutes max from my house to the bodyshop where I usually take my car in for a repair. That was painful...but I'm glad that I got it taken care off and hopefully that will prevent the car from overheating for a while until something else pops or bursts... :sad: My car is getting old...poor car, it has been with me for at least 7 years now.

Well it's that time again where people I have gotten to know better over the year have to depart and go on their ways... It's going to be sad to see all of you gone. Please do keep in touch no matter what, I know I can be a crappy friend sometime...I'm so bad at keeping in touch...just ask my old high school friends...hehe.

Derek's going back up north Cal...hopefully he will land that firefighter job down here so maybe he might stick around a bit longer and just in case Darren's BBQ goes bad, we might need someone we know who will risk his life to save crazy Darren from BBQing himself. Norm's moving to Mongolia to herd the sheeps, I hear they pay well for "making" and "keeping" the sheeps happy over there! Mongolia...cold!!!!!!! Needs wool!!!!!

Dexter's heading to Taiwan at the end of the summer for his EOP thingie or maybe he just wants to find his future Taiwanese wife who plays World of Warcraft as hardcore as he does! Hong, he'll be around, but he's always out and about so it's hard to even catch him standing still for more than 5 minutes... :lol:

Jesse, I think you're moving somewhere, but I'm not quite sure when or where yet, but good luck with grad school though! And Lily, remember to smuggle me some of those fancy cigars from Castro on your swim back to homeland! hehe...I don't even think you live more than 50 miles away from Irvine anyways...what the hell am I talking about. :lol:

Well anyhow, I'll post more later, I have plenty of stuff to blog about, but not that much time to write them. In the meantime, if you're bored, check out this link Digg.com. It's a community bookmarks/news site that I browse and RSS feed through it daily now. It has plenty of useless but useful news and information being updated by users constantly. Fun stuff to read through while you're bored.

And check out my Flickr account for more pictures. I totally removed my old gallery on this server and have transfered all of those pictures to my Flickr account instead...just making good use of my unlimited space over there...Pete, I'm catching up to your 2.5k+ pictures archive! :lol:

Click on the link below to be directed to the index of all of the photosets that I have up. I also uploaded a few more pictures of Allison. Thanks to her parents, I got a hold of one of her pictures that I thought she looks so pretty in.

grrr... Son's being indecent!!!

OK well he was being indecent when he was awake!

Since somebody didn't write all that much about the OC Fair, I guess I'm going to have to do it! (Oh, this is Allison by the way.) We had our little show with the UCI Ballroom Dance Company. Son was a wonderful partner as always, although he did make a few mistakes. But he covered them like a pro, so I doubt the audience really noticed anything! Darren was great too, although I only danced with him at the very end of the piece, in the salsa part. After the show we hung out for a little while with my mom and aunt (although my brother and sister didn't come to see it... I think they are going to need a talking to!!!) We ( Son and I) walked around for a while... Son won me a stuffed animal (... indirectly, but I still think it's sweet!) then we met up with my mom and aunt again and got some food. We were watching the Peking Acrobats when Darren called... and we all got lost... but Son already wrote about that... that was a fun day.

Right now Son is passed out on my bed... he's been sleeping for the last three hours while I have been doing some abstract math hw. (anyone want to help me???) Summer school sucks... me with my 20 units of classes and him with his big project class... way too much work!!!! Bleh....

Randomess!

My "Entertainers" parking permit at the OC Fair earlier today.

Woohoo! I got to perform in front of a large crowd today with the Ballroom Company. We did the usual Latin medley...samba, rumba, and salsa. I made a slight mistake but it was an insignificant one...(I smiled my way out of it). Allison was my partner for the most part of the number. It was fun dancing with her as always. After the performance, we walked around and ate with her mom and aunt while we watched the Peking Acrobats performed. The show was interesting to say the least...hehe. Anyhow, we were later joined by Darren who left after our performance to drive back a few friends from the dance company. Yes...the Ferris Wheel, Darren...that's where we were supposed to meet...unfortunately, there were two!!! :lol: After like half an hour of looking for each other endlessly within the fair ground, we finally agreed to meet back at the stage where we had performed earlier! Afterward, we proceeded to walk around within the Fair for as long as our legs could withhold the torturing (which wasn't that very long!) while checking out every little random exhibit there was! I forgot to bring my camera for some more pictures taking action! But nonetheless, I uploaded a few more recent pictures (not of the Fair :sad: ) to my Flickr.

Who I want to be when I grow up!

Lu Bu was one of the most infamous warriors of the Three Kingdoms era, reknowned for his awe-some strength and skill in battle, as well as his fickle, rebellious nature and lack of subtlety.

From a late night conversation with Jeremy...trust me, it was a deep conversational piece!

Son : he's like my hero
Son : hahaha
Jeremy : why is son trying to be like evil trecherous lu bu?
Son : cuz i am! but i'm trying to be good
Jeremy : haha son just wants to feared by the masses!
Son : [picture above]
Son : now that's bad ass
Jeremy : dude hes got a face coming out his belly! lu bu = satan!
Son : hahah
Son : he's so cool
Son : he twirls that sh*t around with one hand
Son : that's what crazy about it
Son : it's supposed to be a two handed weapon too
Jeremy : yeah, thats pretty hardcore
...
~~~ more intellectual and profound randomness goes here ~~~
...
Jeremy : haha just go to sleep!
Son : hehe
Son : naw not yet!
Jeremy : stop pretending you lu bu trying to take over the world!
Son : i am lu bu!
And yeah...Jeremy, you crazy insomnia mofo, you really need to start sleeping or at least get an hour of sleep per night, that's more than the amount of sleep you get nowadays! How the heck can you function under such sleepless condition without screwing up! THAT is simply amazing and at the same time ridiculous! Now go write your blog!!! Click here to read his blog!
And finally here is my ongoing collection of pictures of my sweetie, Allison! CLICK ME!!!
Hi!
Let's see, nothing much happens lately. School is still same same, busy work with multitude of deadlines, etc...nothing new really. Uploaded some new pictures of fireworks and stuff over at Allison's parents' place on this past Independence Day on my Flickr account. Click on the Flickr link to check out the latest set of uploaded pictures. I had fun snapping randomly and sporadically at the fireworks that were on displayed. Fun time!
Happy 4th of July!
It's been a while since I've blogged. Approximately 9 days to be exact since I last wrote something. Summer school has started for me again. I'm only taking one class but it seems to be a pretty intensive class. It requires much work being done outside of class than most classes I've taken. Too bad it's a group project class and it's nearly impossible and practically unethical for me to bail out of the class at this time into the summer session, since I've already been assigned to a group and a project. The reason I brought this up is because my dad offered to pay for my trip to Vietnam whenever I do decide to go. It's been a while since I've been back to my home country. And he was telling me how my uncle over there just bought a Mercedes Benz and so if I do decide to go back, I'd get to ride in style...hehe...he explains to me how staying with my uncle while I'm over there, even though I'll be in a third-world country, but the quality of life is almost up to par with how it is over here. I guess he wants me to visit my grandpa, the only one of my grandparents that is still alive. So maybe in a year or whenever I'm done with school...again...I will possibly get a chance to travel for a bit before having to work a real job.
Last weekend, I had the opportunity to relearn and apply my manual stickshift driving skill! With Pete's meticulous guidance, I was able to speed down the street right around the corner of where he lives like a racer within 15 minutes! The first time I drove a stickshift was back in high school and it was only for few minutes...therefore, it didn't really count. But this time, relearning it and actually getting to drive it for a good 15 minutes or so really...I can now say that I know how to drive a stickshift and be just as cool as everyone else! Pete needed an extra car to drive from his house to the train station he takes every day to work, so he was brave enough to let me drive his "new old" car that he just bought on the same day. With Jane's superb asian bargaining expertise, I was joking with Pete on how my laptop is more expensive than his newly aquired "new old" car. :lol: Stickshift is so fun and interesting to drive. I actually enjoyed it despite of how much of a pain in the butt it is having to shift every time you want to change gear to go faster or coming to a complete stop. I'm proud to announce that I managed to not stall in a single time while driving it that night! Having to additionally use my left foot to step on something while driving is a pain in itself! :lol: However, I think it takes too much effort to drive a stickshift, the thought of being stuck in traffic with a manual transmission car is horrifying.
Click here to see Pete's "new old" ride and the picture's description.
Fast forward to this weekend, especially today, I was over Kim's house for her birthday party and Kent's graduation party BBQ. I brought Allison along, she has her hair up...pretty! :wink: I also invited Darren to come by too. It's good to see some old friends again. Food was delicous as always! By the way, thanks Darren for saving me some gas money and a trip down to Irvine by giving Allison a ride up north to my area. I appreciate it.
After the BBQ, I couldn't stay long enough for the poker game because I wanted to visit Pete and his family before his daughters' bedtime. I think it was a bad idea to bring Allison along to visit Jessie and Sydney...especially, now that Jessie likes to play with her auntie Allison more than her favorite uncle Son! :mrgreen: No fair! Hehe...Sydney is so playful now as she tries so hard to crawl on her knees and hands. She's very adorable now that she's even more animated with her facial expressions and her cute attempts of utterance.
